Contrast Co installs indoor and outdoor saunas across Metropolitan Sydney. We consider the selected model, the site and the route from delivery to its final position before quoting. The work can include structural assembly, roofing and agreed finishes, with electrical connections and site preparation handled by the relevant trades.

Finishing options
Oiling, weatherproofing and waste removal are itemised where required, so the agreed scope is clear before work begins.
Site coordination
Installation dates are planned around confirmed delivery, site preparation, access and the work of other trades.
The site comes first
A site assessment checks the proposed position, base, access, drainage, weather exposure and nearby obstacles. Photos and measurements help identify preparation needed before delivery. Contrast Co does not lay slabs, drainage or levelling; that groundwork is subcontracted or handled by the client’s own landscaper.
Working with your team
Contrast Co completes the structural installation. Electrical connections for the heater and lights are completed separately by an electrician. Landscaping and other site preparation are handled by the relevant trades, who assess and quote their work directly. We coordinate the installation sequence around delivery and site readiness, then talk you through the completed structure and the manufacturer’s care information at handover.

How much does it cost to install a sauna in Sydney?
Each installation is quoted for the selected model and site. The quote identifies the installation work and relevant extras, such as oiling, weatherproofing, waste removal and travel. Electrical and landscaping work are quoted separately by the trades carrying them out.
Do I need an electrician to install a sauna?
Contrast Co completes the sauna structure. An electrician handles electrical connections for the heater and lights and checks their work before use. We can coordinate with an electrician; their assessment and quote are separate from the installation quote.
How much power does a sauna heater need?
The electrical requirements need to be checked for the exact heater and property. Share the sauna model and any information you have about the existing power supply. The electrician assesses the connection requirements and quotes that work separately.
Can a sauna go on a deck or balcony?
A deck or balcony needs to be assessed for the selected sauna, its weight, access and installation requirements. Send the product details and photos before ordering. Any questions about the supporting structure need to be resolved with the relevant building professional before we agree the installation.

Requirements depend on the property and proposed installation. Check with your local council and, where relevant, your strata manager or building professional before ordering. Have the model dimensions, proposed location and any associated building work ready for that discussion. An installation quote does not confirm approval.
How long does a sauna installation take?
Timing depends on the model, access, site preparation, delivery and weather. The structural installation commonly takes one to two days, with some indoor models taking less time. Finishing and separate electrical work add to the overall sequence. We confirm the expected programme for your job once delivery and site readiness are known.
Can you install a sauna I bought somewhere else?
Yes. Customers commonly purchase the sauna from a supplier and engage Contrast Co separately for installation. Send the brand, model, delivery details and photos of the proposed space so we can assess the job and prepare a quote.
